Choosing Hair Extension Method
You’ve probably made the decision to try hair extensions, but you’re not exactly sure where to start. Choosing a hair extension method can seem overwhelming, but we’re here to break down the different hair extension methods we have available in our salon to make your decision a bit easier.
At our salon, we offer fusion, K-Tip, Nano, clip-in, micro-link, and beaded weft hair extensions. No matter your hair type or lifestyle, we have a hair extension method that’s perfect for you!

Fusion Hair Extensions
Fusion hair extensions can be suitable for those wanting either length or volume and have thick, coarse hair.
These extensions (hot or cold) are applied to the natural hair using individual keratin U-tip bonds with various types of application methods, such as with heat or glue.
During application, your natural hair is placed between the U-tip and secured with a heated extension tool. The U-tip keratin bond has a silicone lining, which will protect your hair during application.
Typically, a full-head application takes 3-4 hours and lasts 4-6 months with minimal maintenance.

Nano Extensions
Nano hair extensions are comprised of individual hair extension strands that are applied to the hair using a tiny Nano ring. Since a Nano ring is much smaller than a micro ring, this hair extension method is suitable for those with fine hair.
Once your hair is threaded through the Nano ring, the stylist will clamp it in place with pliers.
A full-head application will last around 3-4 hours, and the hair will last up to 6 months with proper care and maintenance.

Tape In Extension
Tape in hair extensions are suitable for all hair types and have a quick application time, so this hair extension method is highly requested in our salon. Whether you’re looking for length or volume, tape in extensions are a great option.
The base of the tape in hair extensions are comprised of polyurethane tape which sticks to your natural hair after the tape has cured. It’s important to not wash your hair or excessively sweat for 48 hours after application, otherwise, the tape in extensions may slip.
One side of the tape in extensions is applied to the natural hair close to the root. Then, the weft and natural hair are pulled upwards so another weft can be applied to the backside.
Volume applications can take about 30 minutes, while full-length applications can be done in less than an hour without any special tools or heat.
Tape in hair extensions lasts about 6-8 weeks before you’ll need a reapplication. The hair is reusable, so it can last up to a year with proper care and maintenance.

Clip-in Extensions
If you’re hesitant to commit to semi-permanent hair extensions, then clip-in extensions are the way to go. Suitable for all hair types, clip-in extensions can be taken in and out daily.
Clip-in hair extensions are wefts of hair that are applied using small clips. Perfect for length or volume, application time is quick and can be done at home by yourself (we’ll instruct you on how to apply first).
Clip-in extensions can last for a few months with proper care and maintenance. We recommend using this hair extension method for special occasions or events.

Micro-Link Extensions
Micro-link hair extensions are single-strand extensions that are applied to your hair using a small bead or lock. Once your natural hair is pulled through, the attachment is clamped shut with a special tool.
Unlike other hair extension methods, no heat or glue is required for an application. Also, the silicone lining of the copper cylinder will protect your natural hair before and after application.
The application can take anywhere between 4-6 hours and the hair can last up to six months.

Beaded Weft Extensions
Some clients may prefer weft hair extensions over single strand. We carry beaded weft extensions which are essentially wefts of hair that are attached to the hair using micro-beads.
Different sized wefts are placed on the natural hair, then your hair is pulled through the micro-beads using a small loop or needle.
A full-length application will take about an hour and the hair can be worn for about 4-6 months before you’ll need a reapplication.
